Our customer had a critical-to-production die with a crack in it, which was only going to get worse if something wasn’t done quickly. On the other hand, our customer could not afford to have their press out of service for more than a few days (was costing them millions of dollars per day to be out of service). So, over the course of 48 hours (Saturday to Sunday) CMW: received the phone call about our customer’s emergency, scrambled some of our dedicated staff to come into the shop on short notice, and had the die repaired and back at our customer’s facility ready to run by Monday morning. This allowed our customer to continue to stay in production until a more permanent solution could be implemented.
